SOME HELPFUL WAYS TO CONSIDER THE WORST CASE SITUATION

Reduce/Stop Worrying: by Laura Smith

1. I will take each day as it comes.

2. I need to let go of my desire to control how things will turn out.
Our liquor was but a symptom. So we had to get down to‘causes and condition.’ Big Book p. 64

3. This experience makes me think about what is important to me.

4. I will live the best I can in each moment.

5. I can learn from this experience.

6. With time, this will pass.

7. I am grateful...

8. My life has more meaning as a result of this challenge.

9. I need to accept what is.

10. I can only change what I can change.

Think about how you've coped in the past. Consider writing down how you got through your own times of trouble. When the worst case happens, pull out what you've written down. It may not seem possible when adversity stikes. But, you can handle the worst of life's difficulties by finding some sense of meaning..
